Watch: Rahul Dravid’s son Samit hits a stunning six in Maharaja Trophy

NEW DELHI: Former India batting great Rahul Dravid‘s son Samit is already making headlines in a short domestic career.
Like his father, Samit bats right-handed and has made a name for himself in junior cricket with his impressive performances, showing signs of inheriting his father’s cricketing skills. He has played for various age-group teams in Karnataka and has been part of notable tournaments.
While playing for Mysore Warriors against Bengaluru Blasters in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday, Samit was dismissed for only 7 runs, but hit a stunning six that made all sit up and take notice.
Bowling the seventh over, Naveen MG pitched it up and Samit smashed it between long-on and deep mid-wicket.
So good was the timing on the shot that the ball went sailing into the stands, as Samit’s teammates clapped in the dugout.
The official broadcaster of the tournament shared a video of the shot on their official X handle:

Though Naveen MG had his revenge off the very next delivery by having him caught by Suraj Ahuja, the one shot by Samit was indication enough of the talent that he possesses.
While still young and in the early stages of his cricketing journey, Samit has garnered attention for his batting abilities and potential to follow in his father’s footsteps.
