Samit, a pace-bowling all-rounder, is currently playing for Mysore Warriors in the ongoing KSCA Maharaja T20 trophy in Bengaluru.
But he hasn’t bowled in the tournament and his batting performances thus far have been lackluster, with a best of 33 runs from seven innings.
However, Samit had a successful run in the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier this year, contributing significantly to Karnataka’s first-ever victory in the competition.
In eight games, the 18-year-old scored 362 runs, with his 98 against Jammu & Kashmir standing out for its excellence and fluidity.
In addition, Samit had an outstanding tournament with the ball, taking down 16 opponents in eight games-two of which came against Mumbai in the championship.
