NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to India’s Paralympic medal winners to congratulate them for their achievements in the ongoing competition.
The athletes PM Modi spoke to included Mona Agarwal, Preethi Pal, Manish Narwal and Rubina Francis.
Officials noted that PM Modi praised each athlete for making the country proud with their performances.
Modi also extended his best wishes to Avani Lekhara for her future events in the Games, as she could not join the call due to her participation in an event.
India have so far won 5 medals at the Paralympics which include 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
Four of them have come in shooting while one bronze came in athletics track event.
