Bhagyashri Jadhav, a silver medallist in shot put at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, accompanied him, reflecting India’s expanding strength in multiple disciplines.

India will compete in three new sports – para-cycling, para-rowing, and blind judo – bringing the total to 12 sports. In the 2024 Paris Paralympics, a total of 22 sports will be contested.
Tokyo 2020 was India’s most successful Paralympic outing, with the country bagging 19 medals, including five golds, eight silvers, and six bronzes.
