Originally from Maharashtra’s Nanded district, the 39-year-old Jadhav faced a life-altering challenge in 2006 when an accident left her paralyzed from the waist down.
The incident plunged her into depression, but with the support and encouragement of her loved ones, she found solace and purpose in para sport.
The F34 classification in para athletics is designed for athletes who face coordination impairments, which may include hypertonia (stiff muscles), ataxia (poor muscle control) and athetosis (slow, writhing movement of the limbs or trunk).
Despite these challenges, Jadhav has persevered and continues to inspire others through her dedication to her sport.
