As reported by Timesofindia.com, Delhi Capitals (DC) have not retained star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as the franchise announced on Thursday the names of four players, three capped and one uncapped, it has decided to retain ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in November.
Leading the names of capped players retained by DC are India’s spin-bowling duo of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, followed by South African big-hitter Tristan Stubbs.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Abishek Porel is the lone uncapped player in DC’s list of retentions.
Here’s what DC spent to retain the above-mentioned four players:
Retention 1: Axar Patel for INR 16.50 Crore
Retention 2: Kuldeep Yadav for INR 13.25 crore
Retention 3: Tristan Stubbs for INR 10 crore
Retention 4 (Uncapped): Abishek Porel for INR 4 crore
The sum of the above, INR 43.75 Crore, will be deducted from the total auction purse of INR 120 crore for IPL 2025.
According to the Player Regulations released by the IPL Governing Council earlier, the franchises were allowed to retain a total of six players from their existing squad (a maximum of five capped players and a maximum of two uncapped players) either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option during the auction.
